The Corned Beef House was established in 1978. It was built on the corner of Adelaide and Widmer in the same building that once held a saloon and a general store. Back then, the neighbourhood was full of factories and warehouses employing many hard- working Torontonians.

Now, we see the same buildings, but different faces. What was the industrial core of Toronto has turned into the busy entertainment district, and we are still here to feed those hard-working people who keep it going. Even though it's been a long time since our building was a general store, we still do the same thing; take care of our loyal customers.

If you ask those customers, they'll tell you that the Corned Beef House is unique; that the attention we give our sandwiches and the people who buy them is pretty special. Over the years, it seems like so many delicatessens have lost the character and quality that so many people love. We think you'll find that the Corned Beef House has proved its worth.
